The Condor MDR-3-11-K pressure switch has a setting range from 4 to 11 bar (58 to 160 psi) and 3-pole normally closed (NC) contacts (DPST). Suitable for air and water from -5 to 80°C (23 to 176°F). The switching capacity is 3-phase 3.0 kW 120 V AC or 5.5 kW 230 V AC or 7.5 kW 400 V AC (according EN 60947). It has a robust aluminium die-cast flange with G 1/2 inch and 3 x G 1/4 inch connection ports and NBR sealings. It has an IP54 rating.
This switch is excellent for use as an air compressor switch or to control water pumps. As an air compressor switch it controls the air pressure in the tank by switching on and off the compressor. For water it can be used to start and stop pumps or activate alarms when a set pressure is reached.
The upper and lower pressure switching points are called respectively the cut-out and cut-in pressure. The difference is called the pressure differential. The cut-in pressures (the pressure at which the compressor starts) and the pressure differential can be adjusted with set screws. Note that the pressure differential has a smaller screw. Turn clockwise to increase the pressure. Use the pressure diagram to check if the combination of cut-in and cut-out pressure is within the shaded area. If used as a compressor switch, we recommend to not set the pressure differential too low (<1 bar or 14 psi) to prevent the compressor from switching on and off at high frequency.

MDR series
The Condor MDR pressure switches are especially developed for use with air compressors, water pumps and some versions even for a wide range of other media (MDR-3-…-RM). These pressure switches are available with two different types of contacts: normally closed (NC) and changeover contacts. The setting pressure range for these compressor pressure switches is from 0.5 to 35 bar (from 7 to 508 psi). Choose from a wide range of switch capacities. The switches are made from die-cast aluminium. They’re available with options such as manual control and additional connection ports.
