This Bürkert pneumatic control unit (type 8697) is mounted on top of Bürkert type 21XX valves with ELEMENT 50 mm actuators. The air flow is controlled with a 24V DC signal. The control unit replaces a solenoid valve that otherwise would be used. The unit has G 1/8 inch female threaded ports to connect the air lines and a male M12 plug for electrical connection. External tubing is not needed, because the device has internal control air routing. LEDs show the status of the device. The unit is ideal for use in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries thanks to the easy to clean housing, IP65/67 protection and chemically resistant materials. In combination with Burkert ELEMENT actuators, the unit provides spring chamber aeration that prevents contamination of the actuator chamber from the environment. This unit is UL certified.
